Only Ten female artists to follow? I know it seems unfair (my next post should be 100), but I would be here forever with the amount of talented artists I find on Artstation and Instagram. So if you are looking for some female inspiration and don’t want to sift through the 100’s of artists out there. I have composed a list of some of my favorite traditional and digital female artists for you to follow.
A Russian, freelance, digital artist working on iPad pro 12.9 in procreate app / Wacom Mobile Studio pro 13 in Photoshop. Julia posts hyper realistic portraits and painting process videos.
Yukai Du is a UK-based illustrator and animator. Graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2014, she has been exploring and establishing her work in both still images and motions.Follow Yukai for her quirky and colourful style.
Mindy Lee is a traditional and digital artist with experience in concept art and character design. Follow Mindy for exquisite character design and fashion illustration.
The beautiful illustrations and painting of Taylor Price wouldn’t look out of place in a picture book. The cats look soft and I want to pat them.
Meyoco is a freelance artist whose works are heavily influenced by Japanese comics and Western animations. I would use the word ‘delicious’ to describe her work. It seems Meyoco has multiple shops and blogs featuring her different styles. Her tictail shop seems to be down, but keep an eye out for her stationary and charms.
Vivian is an animation student and illustrator with a cool, loose style. Her animation posts are in their infancy but I’m keeping a close eye on her profile to see how she develops.
I want to put her to work on my Beelzebreast animation.
Concept artist, illustrator and comic artist from Spain. Asteroid is her first watercolor artbook. Every character inside is an original design that belongs to Asteroid universe. 240 pages full of Heroes, Villains and Creatures.
I follow Torianne00 for her vibrant water colour and process videos. She has an incredible flow to her work.
American artist Crystal Graziano is a double whammy. If being a talented female artist isn’t enough, Crystal also makes and wears her own cosplay costumes from series she loves.
Maria Poliakova portraits are hyper realistic, vibrant and splashed with colour. As the Ukrainian artists Maria Poliakova says “She loves working with color”, and it shows. Follow her posts and process videos on Instagram, Artstation and Youtube to see how she works.
